You can speed up you windows XP by change in the regidite as bellow:
1- Start > Run: type: regedite
2- HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Control Panel >Desktop >Find out the word "MenuShowDelay" and Double click
3- Change number 400 to 0-999
4- Restart your Computer
5- You will enjoy for the new speed of your PC
